Instruments

The Luminex instrument is a laboratory analysis system that provides high-throughput with low cost and ease of operation. In combination with Microbionix multiplex assay systems customers are able to analyze up to 100 diagnostic parameters simultaneously in one microtiter well. At the same time the necessary test volume is reduced to only one drop of patient sample, which enables customers to downsize their required samples dramatically. This is of greatest importance when volume limited samples are available, such as in newborn diagnosis or pharmaceutical studies.

The Luminex instrument is a unique detection system. It includes a workstation (fluorescent reader, xy-platform) that can handle all kinds of standard 96-well microtiter plates, a sheath delivery system, computer, monitor and software.
