Recombinant Antigens

The key requirements that we set on our multiplex assays is quality and reliability. For this reason we exclusively utilize recombinant antigens for all our diagnostic products. Recombinant antigens are selected pathogen proteins that are manufactured by genetical engineering. This production of pathogen antigens has several advantages compared to ordinary pathogen lysates:

- the antigens are acquired highest quality,
- the antigens are available separately and not as part of a mixture,
- the antigens are gained in any quantity.

As applied in our assays, they strongly contribute to the precise determination of diagnostic parameters. At the same time they imply greatest sensitivity and specificity of the multiplex assay. The diagnosis of an infection and the quantification of its extent can be achieved with extreme reliability.
